HelloWood

Wooden Pavilion Competition

Winning entry

Buenos Aires—Nov 2017

Whilst both interning at [NOA] — Najmias Oficina de Arquitectura in Buenos Aires, we designed a pavilion entirely made out of wood in the frame of the 'HelloWood 2018' architecture competition. HelloWood is essentially an art camp that initiated in Hungary (2010). Over the years, it has organised international camps where architects, designers and carpenters work side by side to create temporary pavilions made entirely out of wood.

As asked to respect the guidelines of the organisation allowing us to use 1 km of wooden slats, our proposal won and was chosen along nine other pavilions for its annual camp in Argentina. The pavilion was built on a plain in the province of Entre Ríos in the Estancia Los Azotes near the city of Ceibas in 2018.
