Since founding Studio Weinbenami in 2016, Charles Weinberg and Shai Ben-Ami collaborate as a creative duo operating at the intersection of architecture and art.
Drawing inspiration from personal encounters and contemporary media representation, their practice centers on world-building. They create experimental spaces that serve as platforms for dialogue and reflection, particularly in cosmopolitan, urban, post-industrial, capitalist spheres.
Their methodology involves revealing and reconfiguring systems by physically and digitally manipulating and reconstructing spatial fragments through installations, staged sets, drawings, films, and models.
Having completed their Master's in Fine Art and Design at the Design Academy in Eindhoven and their Bachelor of Architecture at the Bezalel Academy of Arts and Design, their critical engagement with societal constructs and fantasies come to question the collective trajectory of society.
